How to unlock it safely
Turn the ignition on, hold 1 + 6, read the precode, calculate the four digit code and enter it using buttons 1-4. Confirm with 5 or 6.

Important notes
If the radio was replaced, the code belongs to the radio unit, not to the car VIN.
